On-Going Energy Usage Tracking

To often energy costs are treated as the cost of doing business and paid with out a second thought. The reality is that utility costs are one of the few expenses building owners can have some control over. To that end, it is important to know to analyze a buildings historical energy usage and consequential utility costs have been to predict and lessen future consumption.

On-Going Energy Usage Tracking looks at a building historical energy use and analyzes monthly usage to determine if a building is improving, holding steady or worsening. It is important to track these metrics monthly so minor problems don’t become major problems due to compounding costs when unseen for months.

Deliverables include 12 monthly reports with the following:

  • Trending of usage, costs and changes to baseline consumption
  • Modeling of building energy usage signature
  • Examine billing for usage abnormalities, billing errors and overcharges
  • Logging of changes to building operations and equipment settings
  • Recommendations to improve building efficiency and operations

  • 3 Years of utility billings
  • Access to online utility account or monthly utility bills
  • Interview with Engineers/Building Mangers on Equipment and Operation
  • Building Blueprints and O+M manuals
